Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page in memory of Roddy Benson and raising money for Sobell House Hospice.

Roddy lived life to the full for most of his 64 years. He was a doer and was the first to help support or plan charity events raising much needed funds for good causes. Young Farmers, Rotary, school PTAs - he did them all.

The support of Sobell House enabled Roddy to spend his last few months at home and he died surrounded by his family, in the heart of the home he loved.

Some of the friends Roddy made through farming, Rotary and his chiropractor (!) have agreed to take on the challenge of walking the Ridgeway in his memory, and to raise valuable funds to help Sobell House provide hospice care both in Oxford and at home. The walk takes place on Wednesday 5th July 2023 in the early hours of the morning.

Please help to motivate our walkers by giving what you can to help others helped look after their loved ones at home with the love and support of Sobell House nurses.
