Story
Dear friends and supporters,
I hope this message finds you all well. New Year, new challenge, I’m running the 2024 London Marathon in April and I have 16 weeks of winter training ahead of me. This journey is not just a personal challenge, but an opportunity for me to raise money to make a difference to the lives of others. Most of you know about my love of rugby, too knackered to play these days so I have chosen to run for the Wooden Spoon, a fantastic organisation dedicated to helping transform the lives of vulnerable children and young people facing various challenges. Their work resonates deeply with me, and I am committed to raising funds to support their noble cause. I ran for the charity in 2012 and raised £2,000. I intend to better my time (5 hours) and better the amount raised being older but sadly no wiser.
I invite you to join me on this incredible journey by making a donation to the Wooden Spoon. Your contribution, no matter the size, will go a long way in improving the lives of those children who need it most. Please click the link below to donate. Thank you for your support and generosity.
With gratitude and determination,
Sarah aka Crackers xxx
Wooden Spoon is the children’s charity of rugby, funding life-changing projects across the UK and Ireland to support children and young people with disabilities or facing disadvantage.
Research shows that 1 in 10 children in the UK and Ireland have a disability and there are 3.5 million children in the UK living in poverty. These numbers continue to rise and more and more children need our help.
Our vision is that through the power of rugby, every child and young person has access to the same opportunities.
