Fundraising for UK Sepsis Trust
In September 2023, one of my best friends Maria devastatingly lost her wonderful sister Gina to Sepsis. In the hope that it could help save someone's life, Maria and her family have started on a mission to raise awareness about Sepsis and raise as much money as possible for the UK Sepsis Trust in Gina's name.
In support, a group of us will be running the London Landmarks Half Marathon along with Maria (who is running a half marathon a month throughout 2025). Please donate what you can to support this important cause.
Gina was 30, perfectly healthy, a primary school teacher with her whole life ahead of her. In her name, we hope 2025 will be full of impact. Each run, each pound, each person learning about sepsis.
For Gini, For Ever. 💜
A note from the charity...
Fundraising is at the heart of our fight against sepsis.
It raises awareness, and sparks the question: “What is sepsis? In this way, fundraising can help prevent thousands of deaths & unnecessary suffering through knowledge & awareness of the symptoms.
It also funds our vital support work, Public Awareness, Educating Health Professionals & helping people adjust to life after sepsis through accessing our Support Group network. We also lobby government to support our cause and makes vital changes in areas such as the NHS.
* Charities pay a small fee for our service. Find out how much it is and what we do for it.
