We’re running San Sebastián for The Survivors Trust

San Sebastián Marathon · 24 November 2024
On November 24th, Cameron and I will be taking on the San Sebastian marathon together. For those who don’t know us well, Cam asked me out two years ago at the Amsterdam marathon, so running holds a special place in our hearts. This time, we’re not just racing against the clock – we’re running for a cause that means so much to both of us, with a goal of making every mile count.
It's my first marathon, and while I’m hoping just to cross the finish line smiling, Cam is aiming for a PB. Whether it’s his speed or my determination, together we’re driven by our shared passion for supporting the Survivor’s Trust.
Running for the Survivor’s Trust is incredibly special and dear to my heart. Growing up in South Africa, I’ve been inspired by the incredible strength and resilience of the women in my life who have survived these experiences. They are absolute warriors, and I wouldn’t be who I am today without their courage. This marathon is for them and for all survivors, to honour their strength and to stand up for a cause that needs more voices.
We’re also hoping to raise a minimum of £2,500 for this cause, and we’d love your support.
To add a bit of fun to this journey, Cam has agreed to a “finish line challenge.” For those who donate £75 or more, you can suggest a (public-appropriate) challenge for him to complete after the race. We’ll pick the best one before race day, and there will definitely be photo or video evidence to share!
Every donation, share, and word of encouragement makes a difference. Your support means so much to us, and we can’t wait to take on this marathon knowing that we’re running for something bigger than ourselves. Thank you for helping us make every step of this race count.
