Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On the 12th of December 2018 at 12:16am we said our last goodbye to our beautiful mam Sano. She was suddenly taken from us by an aggressive form of gal badder cancer that went undetected until the very end. She was the bright spark that everyone needed. She lit up every room she entered and had the most loving and caring attributes that she'll always be known for.

She was gym mad and always took part in the women's mini marathons every year, this gave me an idea to combine both into an event. This year is her 5 year anniversary and to mark the occasion, I have put together an event, with the help From TheWorkroom Gym to raise much needed funds in her memory for the Irish Cancer Society. This event will represent everything my mam showed throughout her life - hard-work, determination and the willingness to never give up.

This event will consist of an accumulation of distances by teams.

240km combined Run (carrying 48lbs) - This will be ran by myself and members of the Irish Defence Forces. We will conclude the run at The Workroom gym where we, family, friends and other gym members will start the below Challenge in our respective teams

48km Ski

48km Bike

48km Row.

These numbers represent the young age of 48 that our mam was when she passed and 5 teams = 5 year anniversary.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this, your support is very much appreciated. Any donation no matter how big or small will make a difference.
