National Three Peaks Challenge, 20 June 2024
Project Bear
Campaign by The Wildheart Trust (RCN 1171144)
Help us rescue two restaurant bears from Azerbaijan, Balu and Benji, and build them an amazing new enclosure at our Sanctuary and arrange transport to their new forever home (after our sponsored flight devastatingly fell through).

Story

On June 20th, 4 Wildheart Animal Sanctuary employees and supporters will be embarking on the daunting National Three Peaks Challenge. This is an astounding 23-mile walk, with a total ascent of 3064 metres (10,052ft) in three different countries: Wales, England, and Scotland. Starting at Ben Nevis and ending at Snowdon, we will accomplish the entirety of the walk within 24 hours, including driving between the peaks.

We are seeking to raise funds on behalf of our charity, Wildheart Animal Sanctuary, and the campaign to bring two European Brown Bears to the Isle of Wight after a lifetime of trauma in captivity. All funds raised in this campaign will go towards building an amazing new enclosure for Benji and Balu, who have spent the last decade in a tiny concrete and steel cage in Azerbaijan.
