Story
Recently, my 15-year-old nephew became critically ill and was diagnosed with a very rare auto immune disease called Eosinophilic Granulomatosis with polyangiitis - EGPA, (formerly Churg-Strauss syndrome) a type of vasculitis, with secondary Mononeuritis multiplex and antiphospholipid syndrome. In short, the immune system attacks the small blood vessels and central nervous system, causing inflammation and restricting blood flow to major organs and tissues, often permanently damaging them. There is no cure. The condition is managed with aggressive immunosuppressant and chemotherapy treatments.
More research is needed to find kinder treatments for this disease and other types of vasculitis. Your generous donation will go to the Vasculitis Uk which is funded by donations alone.
Two of my friends and I will be walking the Penllyn Ultra, 50 miles in 24 hours on 1st of July 2023.
Any contribution will be immensely appreciated.
