As many of you know, I’ve taken on quite a challenge—a challenge that, truth be told, I’m far from naturally suited for. But for the incredible causes we’re supporting, I’m pushing myself to limits I never imagined.
In just a few short months, I’ll be embarking on a journey to climb Mount Kilimanjaro. I’ve been training hard, spending four days a week in the gym and joining long hikes to build up the strength and stamina I’ll need. It’s been grueling, and the idea of tackling 5,895 meters, walking 7 hours a day in conditions ranging from scorching heat to freezing cold, is daunting. The final ascent alone will be a 17-hour trek in bitterly cold weather. There’s a real chance I might not make it, but the thought of your generosity and support will push me through those tough moments.
Im doing this to raise funds for three amazing charities, all working tirelessly to create brighter futures for children in need.
First, let me tell you about Feathers Tale Children’s Village in Tanzania. For seven years, LNADJ has worked closely with Feathers Tale, witnessing firsthand the profound impact they’ve had on children with special needs and disabilities. Feathers Tale isn’t just about care; it’s about transformation—providing education, medical assistance, wheelchairs, and specialized equipment to children who might otherwise be forgotten. This year, our goal is to build two-bedroom houses for single-parent women with special needs children, creating a small village that will offer these families the support and community they desperately need. With your help, we can ensure that Feathers Tale continues to grow and serve even more families.
Next is the One Love Project in Uganda. This initiative is all about giving vulnerable children the tools they need to break free from the cycle of poverty. Through quality education, medical care, and sustainability programs, One Love is helping these kids build a future full of promise. Our donations will go toward essential expenses like teachers’ salaries, specialized care, and providing three meals a day for all 220 students. We’ll also be supporting the children’s families, helping them to maintain clean and healthy homes—something so simple, yet so crucial for these kids’ well-being.
Finally, there’s Angels Gate, an organization dedicated to street-involved boys who’ve faced incredibly tough circumstances. Through LNADJ’s project, Get Equipped, we’re giving these boys a chance to learn skills and build confidence through creative education. Music has the power to transform lives, and by equipping these boys with musical instruments, we’re opening up a world of possibilities for them—a chance to rebuild their lives and pursue dreams they never thought possible.
These charities are doing life-changing work, but they can’t do it alone. That’s where we come in—where you come in. Every donation, every bit of support, will go directly to these children and families who need it most. And trust me, as I’m out there on Kilimanjaro, facing the toughest physical challenge of my life, knowing that we’ve come together to make a difference will be the motivation I need to keep going.
Please, dig deep. Your generosity will change lives, and together, we’ll create brighter futures for these incredible children. I promise to keep you updated on my training and progress, and I’ll be carrying all of your support with me every step of the way to the summit.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Let’s make this happen as I join LNADJ and The Tribe to climb the worlds highest freestanding mountain Mount Kilimanjaro 5895m in February 2025, combining fun, fitness, and purpose.
