Dash to Dubrovnik 2024 for Alzheimer's Research UK!

This June my girlfriend and I are taking part in a once in a blue moon Top Gear style Cheap Car challenge and take on a 2000 mile trip across Europe in just 8 days!

We have acquired our £500 chariot, a 30 year old 1994 Ford Probe, which will be carrying us on our journey from Dover UK to the beautiful Dubrovnik in Croatia. Of course the Probe has its fair share of issues but with our personal spirit, determination and the wonderful car community to support us, she will be a grand stallion for an exciting adventure.

While a summer getaway sounds like all fun and games there is purpose to our trip. We are also raising awareness of Alzheimer's Disease. While my family members and family friends are currently suffering from Dementia, we also see that Alzheimer's along with other forms of Dementia contributes over 11% of all deaths in the UK. This is the highest mortality rate of any disease in the UK with 74000 deaths in 2022 alone.

With the great work Alzheimer's Research UK are already doing we hope to further their work and help them on their journey, For a Cure, by supporting them at this time.
