Sam’s Arctic Quest for Scouts · 30 April 2026

Following on from the success of the REQUEST2021 Antarctica Global Project the aim is to continue in the footsteps of Scout Marr who went north in 1925/26 as part of Frank Worsleys British Arctic Expedition.

Story

Hi, I’m Samuel Buisson Young Leader at the 3rd Sevenoaks Scouts and an Explorer at the 4th and I’m very excited to go on this trip to Svalbard in Easter 2026. I’m interested in Marine Biology and on the Arctic expedition I’m going to study the changing impact of climate change in the face of the rising global temperatures which is causing a massive problem for local flora and fauna.
