Hi. I'm Sam. Lover of unnecessarily challenging walks and this is my next challenge. I will always want to raise money as I go and a cancer charity was always something I had in mind. In October I was told my mum had colon cancer. I'd never experienced what it was like for a close friend or family member to have cancer and it totally knocked the wind out of my family and I and although it was treatable, my mum went through chemo and we all went through a worrying time. Mum kick cancer's ass and although it was a horrible rollercoaster, came out the other side and she's still here. This is why it felt right to raise money for Cancer Research. Not just because she told me to (good choice mum) but because I would never wish those months we experienced on anyone, and it could have been so much worse.

So in conclusion, cancer is rubbish. Let's get rid of it.
