Story
Unfortunately my life took a slightly unexpected path a few weeks ago and I was diagnosed with bilateral breast cancer with 2 different types of cancer, you know me, I don’t do anything by half!!
I’ve had lumpectomy surgery and I’ve recovered amazingly well so far. Unfortunately the pathology results of the cancer mean I have to have chemotherapy for the next 4 and a half months then have radiotherapy. On top of that, remember I said I don’t to anything by half, I also have to have Phesgo treatment which is an injection every 3 weeks for a year. Thank god I’m not needle phobic!!
Anyway, there is no doubt that I will lose my hair and this will be very quick after treatment starts so I’ve made the decision to brave the shave and I’m hoping to get my hair shaved off next week.
It would be amazing if my friend and family would donate even a couple of pounds to support my journey which will all go to Maggies Highland. They are an amazing group of people who provide the best care, support and information to patients, family and friends.
The next 6 months to a year of my life is going to be the hardest challenge I’ve faced but I’m so positive about it and I’m ready to take it on. Cancer picked the wrong girl and I will absolutely absolutely kick its ass.
Thank you to anyone to donates, it means the world that you’re supporting my wee journey.
Lot of love
Sammy
