We come together as ‘Tay’s Tribe’ to honour our son, Taylan who courageously battled an aggressive brain tumour and devastatingly lost his life at just 6 years old. Since losing Tay, our only focus and purpose now is to help raise funds and awareness

Story

I am running to raise money for my cousins little boy Taylan, please read his story below:

Our beautiful, bright and sporty little boy who had so much love for his family and friends. He was always full of life, always so curious, and loved to make everyone laugh. Tay’s smile captured so many hearts and he was the best company to be around. He really had the

kindest soul. His love for nature and animals was beautiful to see. He had such a passion for wanting to make the world a better place. Any opportunity he got to be outdoors, he’d be there creating bug hotels and building dens. He was lego obsessed and also loved to collect all kinds of treasures. A little boy who loved life.

Devastatingly that all changed on 30th May 2023. Taylan was diagnosed with an aggressive brain tumour called medulloblastoma. Our lives were completely shattered. Taylan started to show some really concerning symptoms only 9 days before he was diagnosed. He bravely underwent surgery and invasive treatments,

heartbreakingly he lost his life 8 months later aged 6 years old.

Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer. Just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this disease. We are a leading voice calling for support and action for research into what is called the last battleground against cancer.
