Having known people to be affected by MND I feel particularly strong about supporting this incredible association which focuses on improving access to care, research and campaigning for those people living with or affected by the disease in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. For this fundraiser I will be undertaking a 48.5KM swim starting at Battery Bridge in New York and swimming round Manhattan Island. The swim will start at night! It's called the 20 Bridges Swim as I will be swimming under 20 bridges on my route round. I will be taking on this challenge with Stu Bowman and Alan Luckhurst, two good friends and fellow channel swimmers.
