Story

On the 8th of September our 4 person team of unfit, middle age women (Sam, Anne, Jenny and Bryony, aka Four Unfit Fifers) will be taking part in ‘Race the Sun’ in aid of the children’s charity Action Medical Research.

This is a sunrise to sunset race around the Lake District which includes an 18 mile off road bike ride around Keswick, an 8 mile hike up Latrigg Fell and finally a 2 mile kayak around Derwentwater.

By supporting our team you will be helping to find ways to reduce premature birth, to support children facing a lifetime of challenges caused by disabilities, and to develop cutting-edge therapies for rare and incurable diseases.

Action Medical Research have spent over 70 years funding vital research to help defeat the diseases that devastate the lives of sick and disabled babies, children, and young people. Every pound raised will support life-changing research across the UK to help save and change the lives of sick and vulnerable children.

Thank you so much for your support. We’ll need it to survive the day!!!
