Story
In December last year, our dear friends; Nancy and Paul lost their son and, their daughter Imo, lost her younger brother. He went to sleep and didn't wake up. He was 9 1/2 years old.
George was a little ray of sunshine and one of Emma and Alexa's closest friends. With his cheeky personality, he never failed to put a smile on your face. He is hugely missed by us all, but will never be forgotten.
A team of us will be running the Royal Parks half marathon in memory of George on 8th October. The runners include friends, teachers and family, some never having taken part in a running event before.
SUDC UK is a registered, national charity dedicated to raising awareness, funding research and supporting families affected by Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood (SUDC).
SUDC is the sudden and unexpected death of a child aged 1-18 years where the cause of death remains unexplained after a thorough investigation. 40 children are affected every year in the UK, more than young child deaths due to traffic accidents, fires or drowning and comparable to 1-2 seemingly healthy children dying every fortnight. Thank you for your support.
In the words of Georgous George and the motto of his favourite programme, we all need to 'Keep Dancing' and never take a day for granted! Please wish us all luck!
Many thanks 'GEORGE'S JOGGERS' xxx
