Story
Hello Everyone
Thanks for visiting our page
My best friend Amanda and I have decided to challenge ourself in 2024 and raise money for charity by doing a succession of events. In doing so we hope to raise money for 4 amazing charities, Beatson Cancer being one of them and this is why.
My friend and colleague is currently battling Stage 4 Hodgkins Lymphoma and is the cancer warrior Queen, having successfully beat cancer when she was just 17. She is 22 and was 3 weeks from full remission when she got the devastating news, her cancer had returned.
Determined to fight it and beat it again, she is currently undergoing treatment through Beatson where she is being treated with love, respect, compassion and dedication.
For this reason, I’m raising money for Beatson Cancer so that they continue to do what they can to support people affected by cancer.
Beatson Cancer Charity supports people affected by cancer, every step of the way. They make the journey easier by transforming the way cancer care is funded and delivered. They provide services, as well as funding specialists, research and education to invest in a better future for cancer patients and their families.
From the hospital wards, right to the heart of the communities, The Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre serves, and they believe everyone should experience cancer with care, with love and with hope. They are with their patients and their families for every step of the journey.
So please, no matter how big or small, support our Charity Challenge 2024.
We will be:
* Running a 5km in January - the ‘Last Mince Pie Run of 2024’
* Running the Bertha 10km Trail Run in February
* The Inverness Half Marathon in March
* The Manchester Full Marathon in April
* The 4 x 4 x 48 (run 4 miles ever 4 hours for 48 hours, 48 miles in total, including running through the night) in May
This is a tough challenge!
And we are in our 40’s! And not the early end either!
All donations welcome!
With Love and appreciation!
