As you may know, long-distance running is definitely not my forte - anything further than a 200m race was never for me. Unfortunately, I couldn't envisage friends & family donating for me to lift weights, so here we are. Regardless, I know any money raised will be for a worthy cause - Unseen.

Unseen are a charity with whom we have worked alongside with legal challenges, and whose work has been fundamental in protecting the lives of victims of modern slavery and exploitation, as well as providing a voice to some of the most vulnerable yet hidden people in society.

The charity supports survivors of modern slavery and human trafficking in the UK to rebuild their lives, helping them to escape their situation through the use of the Modern Slavery & Exploitation Helpline and taking care of them in their safe-houses.

They help to tackle the root causes of the issues by informing those who may come into contact with slavery in their everyday work of the signs and actions they can take, and influencing the government to develop a strategic approach to support all victims and end modern slavery.
