Story

I am running the London Marathon this year for the GSK x Save the Children partnership. I've always taken for granted the vaccines and healthcare we receive as children in the UK. This enables us to grow up without the burden of preventable diseases like polio and measles. This isn't the case everywhere in the world. Save the Children are working towards a world where no child suffers from a vaccine preventable disease and every child’s health is protected.

Any donations received on this just giving page will be matched by GSK! So anything you donate has twice the impact!

This partnership has been ongoing for over 10 years and together, GSK and Save the Children are working to achieve a joint vision of reducing preventable deaths and illness of children under the age of five. They are now focusing on 'zero dose' children who have never received the standard vaccines that we all take for granted. The pandemic triggered the biggest global decline in routine immunisation for 30 years, causing diseases like polio, measles and cholera to appear in places where they haven’t been seen for decades.
