This March, we’re taking part in Paws For Pregnancy Loss, walking 100 km in March to fundraise for the Miscarriage Association. Walk alongside your canine companions, and give those paws a purpose by raising awareness of the impact of pregnancy loss.

Story

Marc and I are taking part in Paws For Pregnancy Loss – walking 100km in March to fundraise for the Miscarriage Association along with our adorable cavapoo puppy, Leo.

We have suffered two devastating miscarriages on our journey, with an ectopic in 2022 and a missed miscarriage end of 2023.

An ectopic pregnancy is where it is in the wrong location and not viable but can be life threatening if it ruptures (mine did), and a missed miscarriage is where you have lost the baby but your body doesn't realise and you only find out during a scan.

Both took their toll physically and mentally but we are very grateful to the emergency services in the nhs, counsellors, fertility doctors and of course our family and friends so we wanted to try and give something back. I love walking and with our new puppy it is the perfect opportunity.

Every donation helps the Miscarriage Association support people going through the heartbreak of pregnancy loss. I have used their resources and believe it is a worthwhile cause.

Thank you for your support, and giving paws a purpose.
