Walk 10 miles in aid of Lingen Davies Cancer Fund to mark Breast Cancer Awareness Month! Starting in Church Stretton on 14th October 2023.

Story

Myself and many of my friends and family will be walking 10 miles tomorrow in aid of Lingen Davies to mark Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

As most of you know, Lingen Davies has played a very important role in my life over the past few years; I was initially diagnosed with breast cancer in 2020 and then again at the beginning of this year. I’ve undergone many surgeries and received a variety of treatment at the Lingen Davies Centre and would like to thank them by raising these vital funds. The walk will be tough for me as I’ve just received my final round of chemotherapy, but I am hoping that the energy, enthusiasm and raising awareness while spending time with so many of my wonderful friends and family get me over the finish line.

The nurses and staff at Lingen Davies really are amazing; we are very lucky to have the centre in our local area and must do all that we can to support it.

Let’s put on our boots and raise some money whilst marching through the beautiful Shropshire Hills!

The charity raise funds to improve lives affected by cancer in Shropshire and Mid Wales - our fundraising will make a huge difference to their mission...please do not feel pressured to sponsor us, but even a small donation will help us to reach our target.

Thank you and wish us luck!
