Our Family's Journey: Walking Together to Fight Cancer
Cancer has deeply touched my family. Both my parents have bravely battled it, while my beloved nan sadly lost her life to this disease. It’s something that impacts us all, and for us, it’s a very personal cause.
Since his recovery, my dad has embraced new ways to stay healthy and took up walking as a way to regain strength and stay active. This habit soon inspired my brother to join him, and together they’ve completed several long-distance charity walks, including an incredible 50km trek.
Recently, my dad invited me, my partner, and my siblings to join him for the “London Winter Walk" challenge in January. It was an invitation we all happily accepted—not just to support him, but to celebrate our family’s resilience and the strength we find in each other by embarking on a 42.km walk.
What started as my dad’s journey has brought us all closer together, doing something meaningful as a family for the first time.
Please help support our efforts and consider making a small donation to our fundraising for Macmillan Cancer Support. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps those affected by cancer and supports the incredible work of Macmillan. Thank you for joining us in this cause.
