Story
Thank you for visiting my JustGiving page supporting St Helena Hospice.
Over the last few years I lost both my Nanny Maureen & Grandad Terry to cancer, which has left an indomitable hole in our family.
The work that St Helena and other hospices do to support familes from advice at the beginning to home visits provides a comfort that is hard to put into words and for which I know myself and my family are eternally grateful.
Whenever I've been asked for my view on running I've always said "that I'm very dangerous over short distances" and now in 2025 I will running the London marathon. Ambitious or foolhardy I won't know till next year but I am determined to train hard, raise awareness for the great work of St Helena Hospice and make the most of this once in a lifetime opportunity.
Please if you could donate anything you can, I know both myself and the team at St Helena Hospice will be extremely grateful.
Sam
P.S I won't be alone in this endeavor, as my fiancée also has a place in the marathon, running for Motor Neurone Disease in memory of her grandfather.
