87,000 steps along Brecon and Monmouth Canal in 1 day · 20 July 2024

We raise funds for local NHS services to make a positive difference

Story

I lost my Dad in July last year to several heart attacks and have made a personal commitment to doing something to raise money for the Cardiac Care Unit at Withybush Hospital in Haverfordwest every year in Dad's memory.

Dad passed away at age 87, so I thought this year I'd do 1000 steps for every year of his life in one day, which conveniently works out to the approximate length of the Brecon and Monmouth Canal from Brecon to Newport (around 40 miles).

My family and I, and the unit at the hospital would be beyond grateful for anything you could give. Thank you ever so much in advance.

Fund T902 supports families and patients on the Cardiac Care Unit and all donations go a long way.
