Story
Happy Days are a charity that support the homeless and those undergoing food poverty by providing safe and warm spaces such as The Winter Shelter, The Community Supermarket and The Community Café at The Gathering Place. But what is especially amazing is that they also provide accommodation and services that support people to overcome addiction and gains skills that lead to employment and independent living.
To raise money for Happy Days I will be joining them for their annual Big Sleepout on the 8th March, which involves sleeping rough for the night in a car park. I did this last year and got no sleep at all, it was miserable! - So please donate to support Happy Days and make it worth it!
Sleeping outdoors for one night can’t replicate what it’s like to experience homelessness but it will give me, and others, an appreciation of just some of the challenges some people face and time to reflect on what it means to sleep rough.
