Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our fundraising page. We're running the 2024 Paris Marathon on 07 April 2024.
As we both attempt PBs along the Seine, we hope that the funds raised for Macmillan Caring Locally will be worth the pain.
The charity, Macmillan Caring Locally, supports the Macmillan Unit at Christchurch Hospital. This was where Ceri, the younger sister of Sam, spent her last month before she passed away in 2020. The staff at the Unit were so caring and considerate, particularly in light of the uncertainty that was unravelling at the start of the pandemic. Their professionalism and compassion has impacted so many across the Bournemouth and Christchurch area, and beyond.
2024 is the 50th year of their support for the Macmillan Unit at Christchurch Hospital, and patients in the local community. Supporting them will be well worth a few months of training and racing.
Macmillan Caring Locally is a small, community charity and is not connected in any way to the national charity Macmillan Cancer Support.
Thank you,
Sam and Charlie
