Around 10,000 young people per year leave the care system. Often many with limited support and very little family. Around one third of those end up homeless within their first two years of leaving care.

I was once part of the above statistics and want to help ensure that young people leaving care have as much help as possible.

NHP is a great charity supporting care leavers nationally to leave care having connected and fulfilling lives.

I will be running the 34 mile gritstone grind ultra marathon on the 3rd September and would welcome anything you can spare to act as a catalyst to spur me on. All monies given will be well used to support care leavers by this charity.

NHP support local authorities to set up and manage House Projects which support groups of care leavers to learn together, support each other and leave care as a community.
