Story
Around 10,000 young people per year leave the care system. Often many with limited support and very little family. Around one third of those end up homeless within their first two years of leaving care.
I was once part of the above statistics and want to help ensure that young people leaving care have as much help as possible.
Pure Insight is a great local charity supporting care leavers in Stockport, Warrington, Trafford, & Cheshire East to build connections and relationships that will support them long after statutory support has finished.
I will be running the 34 mile gritstone grind ultra marathon on the 3rd September and would welcome anything you can spare to act as a catalyst to spur me on. All monies given will be well used to support local care leavers.
Pure Insight are always looking for mentors to help support care leavers. Volunteer mentors are long term champions in a young person’s life, they support young people to flourish and be the best versions of themselves.
