Story

In memory of Sally Brighton, who was more than just a teacher—she was a beacon of hope and a tireless advocate for students with dyslexia. With a compassionate heart and unwavering dedication, she nurtured the confidence and talents of every child she taught, transforming the struggles of reading and writing into opportunities for growth and success. Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched, the skills she cultivated, and the confidence she instilled.

From the BDA - The donations given in Sally’s memory means we can do more to support children in education and employees in the workplace, to increase public understanding of the challenges – and benefits – of dyslexia, and that we can lead the way in embedding dyslexia friendliness across all parts of society. It means we can continue to offer free, vital services such as the national Dyslexia Helpline and training webinars to parents and teachers.
