Sally & Tony’s Coast 2 Coast Hike
UPDATE: Sally & Tony have officially completed the hike! They have walked more than the expected 192 miles (after one wrong turn) and their bodies are very, very happy they have reached the end of the challenge! It was one of, if not the hardest challenges physically and mentally that they have ever done and they would like to say an huge THANK YOU to every single person who has donated, or shared this page. Please continue to share this & donate to FairPlay - it is a fantastic charity that supports amazing people. Thank you so much.
Having wanted a challenge to raise money for charity for a while, Tony has thought up the idea that he and his wife, Sally, will take part in the Coast 2 Coast walk on the 24th August 2023. This entails walking 192 miles over thirteen days, from St Bees to Robins Hood Bay. This idea arose just one week before the impending walk was to begin. Panic has set in - training, fundraising and organising all the gear, all with just one weeks notice.

Although this is a huge challenge for both Sally and Tony, the worrying thought of walking miles & miles of gruelling terrain is soon forgotten when thinking of their chosen charity, Fairplay.
Fairplay is a local charity serving North East Derbyshire, Bolsover, Chesterfield, and Amber Valley who offer services to children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). Fairplay are able to support children and young people with physical, sensory, learning and behavioural disabilities and additional needs, no matter what their disability is. Furthermore, they also support the families who are involved.
Among many other fundraising goals, the charity are wanting a new minibus to allow them to take more of the children and young adults out and about, and into the community. Any donation is hugely appreciated and we would love for you to share this Just Giving page if you can.
Thank you so much!
