In the summer of 2021, I was struggling so much with everything that life was throwing at me that I took off the whole term from my teaching job and went to Guernsey Mind, desperate for help. I have suffered with depression for about 30 years on and off, but had never felt as low as I did at that time. 😔

After an initial assessment meeting, I was assigned an amazing therapist who listened without judgment, let me talk about anything I needed to while making the occasional comment or question, and gave me the coping strategies I needed to manage my depression day to day.

I had 12 incredibly useful sessions with a highly trained professional and it was all free of charge!

To express my gratitude in a productive way, I plan to have my head shaved 👩🏻‍🦲 to raise as much money 💷 as possible for Guernsey Mind, hopefully enough to finance therapy for a few more people in need! 🤞🏻😉
