Whats it all about?
UPDATE - Feb 1st- I've levelled up!
Aswell as the trek of a lifetime... I have stupidly decided to yomp/hike/run the equivalent distance from Worcester to Morocco... ..well, not literally! I'll be covering the miles locally.
See Map
Its1880 Miles! (Feb to Oct)
(I'm doing this on top of the actual trip to raise even more sponsorship donations and awareness for Acorns.
- I will walk 1880 miles before we head on our trek. I'll be doing this whenever and wherever I can, along canals, in forests, on treadmills, on beaches (hopefully)
- You'll be able to follow my progress, here and on my socials.
Why Acorns?
Acorns is a world famous Children's Hospice, based in the heart of the country (Birmingham & Worcester); catering for severely disabled children, often suffering with life-limiting complications.
- Acorns covers Staffordshire, Shropshire, the West Midlands and beyond.
They not only offer both day-care and residential support, but a respite for parents and other family members too.
The hospice is open to all and crucially funded significantly by charitable donations. They look to help about 1000 children EACH YEAR... and it costs about £13million to 'keep the lights on'...

Acorns and my Niece:
Anyone that knows me has heard me talk about my now 10 year-old Niece, Megan. She's in inspiration to us all and a true story of survival against all odds. Life isn't easy for her, and every day is a struggle. (She's gorgeous, see the pics!)
Since birth Meggy was diagnosed with myriad life limiting and genetic conditions that have affected her development, immune system and overall quality of life. She's literally one in a billion.

Meg is fortunate enough to be loved and supported by Mum, Dad and here brothers and sister - but family life to accomodate her impacts them all in many ways.
- In the background though are supportive places like Acorns; that have been there for many activities, stays, events and family days.
I've personally been blown away what can be achieved by caring and compassionate organisations like Acorns.
Because of all this, I was inspired to set a goal for 2025 of supporting Acorns in my own (and comparatively small way).
Can you help, please?
My personal aim, with your generosity... is to raise £4000 AT LEAST - which is a drop in the bucket to keep Acorns going, but I'm personally honoured and privileged to help Meggy, Acorns and many many children and parents.
Please dig deep and help me to contribute.
(If only for my funny Facebook diary!)
Thanks guys...love ya'all.
