As some may already know, My mum has lupus, watching her suffer with tasks but also day to day life hurts me in many ways knowing whatever I do I can’t help or take the pain away from her.

People who suffer from it don’t come across as unwell when in fact this is a life changing invisible condition.

Lupus is a long-term condition that causes the body to attack healthy parts, there is no cure but can be maintained by treatment.

Mum has suffered from lupus for many years, it caused her to cut her hair short, change her job and adjust her lifestyle in general.

Nothing will ever take away this illness from my mum but I want to make more people aware of what lupus is and understand it so that she doesn’t feel like she’s on her own. She copes in silence and is seen as normal but I want her to know that no matter what she has so much support and is loved so much.
