Story
In November of 2011, I sadly lost grandfather to prostate cancer, 2 weeks before his 74th birthday. He would have been 87 this year.
Prostate cancer has affected my family & I, and continues to affect many others. I am running the London landmarks in my grandfathers memory, and to also raise awareness and funds to help with treatment for those effected by prostate cancer.
I am running the London Landmarks Half Marathon on 6th April 2025 for Prost8 UK.
I am aiming to raise (at least) £870.00 in honour of my grandfather and what would have been his 87th birthday this year.
Thank you for supporting me and this cause - any donation big or small is appreciated.
In the next 10 years, 500,000 men will receive a new prostate cancer diagnosis in the UK and about a third will have a medium grade, treatable cancer. They could benefit from new minimally invasive treatments called focal ablation and Prost8 aim to make this more accessible for 1000's more men, this year, next year and every year.
The funds I raise will be donated towards Prost8's campaign to buy, donate and deploy at least six minimally invasive focal therapy treatment suites for prostate cancer into strategic NHS hospitals across the UK.
Find out more at prost8.org.uk and please support me to be part of the Prost8 legacy.
