Story
I am undertaking a fundraising challenge in memory of Qasim Hussain by hiking Scafell Pike in the Lake District.
Qasim Hussain was a dear friend/family member whose life and legacy continue to inspire those who knew him. This hike is not only a personal challenge but also a form of Sadaqah Jariyah for Qasim.
A man said to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), “My mother died suddenly, and she did not leave a will, but I think that if she could have spoken, she would have given in charity. Will she have a reward if I give in charity on her behalf?” The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Yes.”
Hadith | Bukhari, 1388; Muslim, 1004
On the authority of Abu Hurairah (ra) that the Messenger of Allah (saw) said, ‘When a person dies, his deeds come to an end except for three: Sadaqah Jariyah (a continuous charity), or knowledge from which benefit is gained, or a righteous child who prays for him.’ (Muslim)
Please join me in commemorating Qasim's life and legacy by supporting this fundraising effort. Together, we can make a difference and keep his memory alive in the most meaningful way. Thank you for your support. Jazakallah Khair.
