Story
On Sunday 3rd March, 10 members of staff from Stimpson Avenue Academy will be hoping to join other members of the community to raise vital funds for a remarkable charity; the McCarthy Dixon Foundation.
The charity, having been formed during the earliest days of the country going into Lockdown, has supported the school for the last two years by providing termly food parcels to over 30 families in need.
The staff will be hoping to take part in a Firewalk at Kingsthorpe Golf Club, travelling barefoot across red-hot coals.

A month later, 3 members of the Stimpson Team will also be keen to participate in the London Half-Marathon, raising additional funds for the same charity.
The Junior Leadership Team has already been fundraising, with Friday afternoon events, such as serving hot chocolate and creating exotic milkshakes.
The current total is approaching £400, which means that four staff members have confirmed places. For each £100, another grown up can take part. If an extra £200 can be raised, Mrs Clapton and Mrs McIntyre will then celebrate by abseiling down the Express Lift Tower!
Any donations, to such a worthy cause, will be most welcome and can be made using the Just Giving page attached or making a donation to the Stimpson Avenue Academy office.
