Flash floods across Pakistan have killed more than 1000 people and destroyed more than a million homes. Help us provide emergency kits for people affected buy these monsoon rains.

Story

I am excited for the opportunity to give back to those in need. This year, I have chosen IDRF as my charity partner for the blessed month of Ramadan.

This Ramadan, I will be raising funds to support IDRF's Phase 2: Rebuild and Recover Response in Pakistan to rebuild communities impacted by the devastating floods.

The floods in Pakistan have left many families homeless and without access to basic necessities such as food, water, and shelter. IDRF's Phase 2 Respond aims to provide aid to these families and help them get back on their feet.

The Situation

The monsoon season may be over in Pakistan, but the aftermath of the heavy rains continue to affect the country as flood water remains in many areas. The floods have caused widespread destruction.

Housing and agriculture are among the worst affected, with more than 9 million additional people estimated to be pushed into poverty unless provided with support to restore their livelihoods.

How is IDRF helping

In response, IDRF is providing immediate emergency response kits, which include food, water and hygiene kits to families and individuals whose lives have been adversely affected by the drastic floods. Through IDRFs rapid response, those in need will be given hygiene items, and food parcels to alleviate the food insecurity caused by the flooding.

Phase 2: Rebuild and Recover

Building off of their initial emergency response, IDRF will is working to rebuilding the infrastructure of communities. This includes shelter rehabilitation, creating temporary learning shelters, and medical support for expecting mothers.

$ 400

For only $ 400 you can build a semi-permanent bamboo shelter in Sindh. Each bamboo shelter contains two rooms and comes equipped with a washroom. The residents themselves will be paid to build the shelters, providing families with safe housing and a source of income for the community.

Every single donation can be their source of salvation. Let's practice the important virtue of giving this Ramadan and help vulnerable communities in Pakistan.
