Story

In 2015, my friend Aadil ran the London Marathon. Before signing up he tried to convince me to run alongside him but I was adamant that I didn't want to lose all my 'gainz'.

Now, nearly 9 years on, with most of my 'gainz' lost, I am attempting to follow in his footsteps.

I am running for Brain Research UK. The charity is dedicated to research into neurological conditions; funding vital research to increase understanding, improve diagnosis and treatment, and work towards the prevention of neurological conditions, to help people who suffer with them live better, longer.

Following a road accident, Aadil passed away in 2021. In his final months, Aadil was part of one of the charity's research projects: 'TBI - the role of the immune response'. As a doctor, Aadil was passionate about medical research.

I want to help carry on the work Aadil was doing. Your support, whether through a donation or by spreading the word, will make a difference.

Salaam,

Ry
