My name is Ryan Chin and my dream is coming true. In 2025, I will compete in figure skating at the Special Olympics World Games in Torino, Italy!

I am 23 years old and I have been figure skating for about 11 years.

Ryan started his skating career in the therapeutic skating program offered by McCann Ice Arena and started by Laurie May. It was only when the Special Olympics New York Winter Games was held in Poughkeepsie, prior to covid, that his coaches realized that Ryan could compete and he has participated in the Special Olympics New York Winter Games for the past six years. With hard work, perseverance, luck, and support from a dedicated group of coaches, Ryan has been able to accomplish what others considered impossible.

Competing in World Games means everything to me. I can't wait to bring home the gold for Team USA!
