Story

I’m once again taking part in the Great North Run pushing old friend Drew Graham in his wheelchair as part of a team. Drew and I go way back to our club running days as kids, but in 2014, a tragic accident left him with a broken neck. Despite this life-altering event, Drew's resilience and positive outlook have been truly inspiring. He went on to set up Gym Possible, a specialist disability gym which enables people to train in a purpose build environment.

Last year, thanks to your incredible support, we raised close to £15,000 and this money went towards setting up a brand new hub in Gateshead expanding Gym Possible to two locations.

This year, we’re aiming even higher! Our goal is to complete the Great North Run in under 90 minutes while pushing Drew, and we need your help to make it happen. We’re proud to partner with the Matt Hampson Foundation who have kindly provided our entry numbers, they are ensuring that 100% of your generous donations go directly to Gym Possible. We're hoping to raise over £10,000 in total to help Gym Possible grow even further so they can really make exercise accessible for all.

Every donation makes a significant impact, helping to empower individuals through adaptive fitness and support. Join us in this journey of determination and hope, and let’s make this year's run even more successful!
