Story
This year will be a joint fundraiser for Team1C, with the hope in raising even more for the charity.
The first event will be on the 1st of April, Easter Monday, starting with Warren Stone & a group of other Bury fans doing a sponsored walk from Gigg Lane to The Prestwich Heyes Ground where Bury FC are playing that day, making it to the ground in time for kick off.
The second event will then be on the 13 th of April 2024 I will be running/jogging/walking 17.3 miles from my house in Chorley all the way to Gigg Lane, the home of Bury FC for the last home game of the season.
We are both hoping to raise as much as possible for the amazing Team1C in memory of Isla Hutton.
Our fellow Bury FC fan David Hutton is a founding member of Team1C & also Isla's Dad.
Isla lost her life way to soon to cardiac issues at such a young age. Since losing Isla Dave has Made it his mission to do amazing things with Team1C to make sure his daughters legacy lives on for many years to come.
Team 1C is such an amazing charity, they look after & provide lots of different aspects of support to parents & children of the cardiac world.
They became a registered charity in 2022, it is ran entirely by an amazing team of volunteers, one big cardiac family.
Team1C do a lot of work with children's hospitals, the likes of Alder Hey, Ronald McDonald House, Whiston Hospital, are all hospitals they work with on a regular basis providing support for both the parents & their child.
Every penny raised will make such a difference for Team1C & we hope to raise as much as we possibly can!
Any support is greatly appreciated!
