Story
I'm going to be running the London Marathon 2025 in memory of our daughter Freya, a year to the day of losing her. I'm hoping to raise as much money as possible for Evelina Children's Hospital.
On the 27th of April this year our world fell apart, every parent’s worst nightmare happened to us. We lost our precious daughter Freya at only 6 months old, she was taken far too soon and it has left us completely heartbroken. A beautiful little girl with a smile that will never be forgotten, life truly is too short. Although there is nothing that can take the hurt away and bring our little girl back, I'm going to try my best to make her proud and raise money for a brilliant charity.
Why Evelina?
We had a routine baby scan at the hospital, when we were made aware that Freya had a low fetal heart rate, this is when we found out about and met the amazing Evelina team. We were so scared but they were so reassuring and helped us every step of the way. After Freya was born the Evelina team carried out tests and fortunately it was all a precaution and Freya was signed off. Not everyone will get the same news we did and will unfortunately need the help and support of the Evelina team.
I appreciate your time to read our story and would be so grateful for any donations you can make no matter how big or small, every donation will make a difference and help to raise as much as we can. Please could you all share the link and help make the difference to a child's life.
Every year more than 103,000 children and young people experience the wonderful warmth of Evelina London, which is part of Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. They see first-hand the care and passion of the Evelina London team who are exploring new approaches and creating ground-breaking care for children and young people.
Thankyou
Ryan
