We are now in the third year of charity chilly dips in celebration of International Women's Day! This year, Ruth Wardle (McCarthy Stone House Manager at Stukeley Court, Stamford) is personally raising money for the Evergreen Care Trust, Stamford. https://evergreencare.org.uk/

Alongside Ruth, brave McCarthy Stone colleagues will be taking part in chilly dips across the country to raise money for various charities in the days before and after IWD.

Every penny raised is matched by McCarthy Stone and goes to small charitable causes who help to reduce isolation and loneliness for older people. This included dementia charities, befriending groups visiting care homes and those living independently. Our aim is for older people to feel connected to their communities.

Ruth's chosen charity, the Evergreen Care Trust, provides friendship, companionship and help to older people in and around Stamford. She takes the plunge on 7th March 2025 at Hunstanton, along with other colleagues raising money for their own charitable causes.

It is no easy feat to get into the sea or lake in March and so please show your support by sponsoring our incredible colleagues!

So far there are chilly dips arranged in the following locations:

- Bournemouth Beach - Wednesday 5th March (time TBC)

- Hunstanton Beach - Friday 7th March at 12.30pm

- Southend on Sea - Friday 14th March at 11.30am for 12pm dip
