Story
I am taking on the iconic challenge of trekking to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro as part of Team Helimed 29 and raising vital funds for Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance! Last year I completed the Snowdon Night Walk and the Great North Run to continue supporting the Air Ambulance - this year I thought I’d take the challenge a bit further (I’ll definitely need to train this time 💪).
I’ll always be indebted to the LNAA team for the fantastic work they do - I’ve been flown to hospital twice by them, thankfully each time I’ve made a full recovery from my injuries. Hopefully I’ll never need to use their services again but fundraising is so critical to keep them running - with no government support they need our help to keep them flying.
The Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance is one of the UKs leading Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS) Charities, funded purely by the generosity of people like you! We are not part of the NHS and not funded by the Government.
At a time when every second counts, the arrival of our iconic yellow helicopter really can mean the difference between life and death.
We transport the equivalent of an A&E department to people suffering from the most serious of illnesses and devastating injuries, providing the best possible treatment as quickly as possible.
