Hello everyone, I am running the London Marathon in 5 weeks and can’t quite believe that I have got to this point in my training. After many years of entering the ballot, after being to London and seeing friends and family run the marathon, I never thought I would actually get in – no one gets in on the ballot!!!! I started last year doing couch to 5k and have very slowly upped my miles.

I have chosen to support a charity that is close to my heart, and I am hoping that all my efforts might be rewarded with your support to help me raise money for Epsom and St Helier hospital. Over the last ten years they have helped my Dad in a number of ways, from putting him on a trial for CLL (chronic lymphatic leukaemia) which has seen him go into remission, to supporting him more recently after he had a stroke. We as a family have been very fortunate with the care he has received in both hospitals. After talking to Dad, he would like any money raised to go to the stroke unit.

For those who know me, you will understand what a huge challenge this is and I appreciate all the love and support.
