Story
Me and Al are running the Manchester half marathon to raise money for Alzheimer’s Society. Although there is no current cure for Alzheimer’s, they help to work towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives.
They do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future.
Alzheimer’s disease is the most common type of dementia. There are currently estimated to be 982,000 people living with dementia in the UK and this is projected to rise to 1.4 million in 2040. The scale and the need to prevent, diagnose, support, live and die well with dementia will only become greater.
