Story

I am running Rome Half Marathon on 19th October to raise money for Music in Hospitals & Care, a charity that improves the health and wellbeing of adults and children through the healing power of live music. I have been a musician for the charity since 2017 and play my harp in hospitals, hospices, care homes and day centres across Northern Ireland.

It is difficult to describe the feeling of experiencing the impact live music can have on people and I think the harp especially is such a healing and therapeutic instrument. People often comment how relaxing they find the harp music, including patients, staff and visitors. I am looking forward to continuing my work with Music in Hospitals & Care and am passionate about helping people through music.

The half marathon will be a big challenge for me as I am just getting back to running after an illness a few years ago. I’m excited for the challenge and have been enjoying my training runs so far ☺️

Thank you so much for your support, any donation is greatly appreciated. Thank you to everyone who has encouraged and supported me 🫶🏃🏼‍♀️
