Story
I am participating in a challenge lead by the National Kidney Federation to walk 70,951 steps during the month of June which represents the number of people undergoing treatment for kidney failure in the UK. I hope you will be able to support me in this endeavour as I strive to remain active at the age of 88, and raise money in support of a family member.
The Charity run by kidney patients for kidney patients, the charity supports 3.5 million people with Chronic Kidney Disease and 60,000 patients who have end stage kidney failure. The charity also supports Dialysis and Transplanted patients and their carers.
The NKF offers a National Kidney Patients Helpline 0800 169 0936 offering medical information leaflets, help and advice - with trained staff answering around 200 calls a week.
