Russell's son has grown up with haemophilia, and this cause is close to his heart. Your generous donations will help support the crucial work of The Haemophilia Society, the only UK-wide charity dedicated to everyone affected by genetic bleeding disorders.

Russell Moran is not just swimming for fun he's swimming for a cause that has profoundly affected his life. His son was diagnosed with haemophilia, a condition that affects the blood’s ability to clot, leading painful and prolonged internal bleeding episodes. Living with haemophilia is a daily challenge, but with the right support, those affected can live full and active lives.

Russell has seen first-hand the incredible work The Haemophilia Society does for families like his. From providing essential information and support to advocating for better treatment and care, this charity makes a world of difference for those living with bleeding disorders.

The Haemophilia Society (THS) is the UK's only charity dedicated to supporting people affected by genetic bleeding disorders. With over 5,000 members, THS provides free support, organises community events, and campaigns for better care and treatment options.

One in 2,000 people in the UK has a diagnosed bleeding disorder, and for many, this diagnosis comes without any family history. THS works tirelessly to ensure that everyone affected receives the care, support, and information they need.
