Story

Two bottles of THE PROFESSOR whisky - numbers 21 and 12 - both signed by Betty Peart and Hugh Syme - in a bespoke 2112 presentation box - can be yours for a fiver!

Based on Neil Peart's favourite dram THE PROFESSOR is a 15 year old, Speyside, sherry cask, cask strength 53.3%, single malt Scotch whisky.

THE PROFESSOR was inspired by Hugh Syme's visit to Scotland in 2023 as a VIP guest of RUSHfest Scotland - the annual fan event which celebrates the best band on the planet - and raises shed loads of money for charities in the process. Over £146k has been donated to date - thanks to the incredible generosity of RUSH fans worldwide.

The bespoke box was made by Arisaig craftsman Chris Pritchard from whisky barrel staves.

To become the owner of this unique whisky package, RUSHfest Scotland ask that you make a minimum donation of £5 using the donation link on this page. The draw is open worldwide. It is appreciated that you donate in £GBP, however if you donate in your local currency, a rough conversion (www.xe.com) would mean 1 entry would be $6.50USD, $9CAD or 6EURO.

For each £5GBP/$6.50USD/$9CAD/6.50EURO donation you will receive 1 entry to the prize draw. The more you donate - the more chances you have of winning!

The draw will be made on Saturday 21 December 2024 at the MOVING PICTURES gig in La Belle Angele, Edinburgh, Scotland. www.MovingPicturesUK.com/gigs

You do not have to be at the show to win the whisky.

All money donated here goes straight to the charity so if the winner lives more than 100 miles from Edinburgh we will ask them to cover shipping costs.

If the winner lives within 100 miles of Edinburgh, the whisky package will be delivered to them by David Mulligan (CEO of Funding Neuro) in his RED BARCHETTA! And you can have a spin in the car - as a passenger. Thank you David!

ANY ONLINE DONATIONS MADE AFTER 9am (UK time) ON FRIDAY 20 DECEMBER 2024 WILL NOT BE ENTERED INTO THE PRIZE DRAW. Your money will go to the charity - no refunds possible.

The draw will take place on 21/12/24 BUT ONLY IF AT LEAST £2000 HAS BEEN RAISED. We will delay the draw until that target has been met.

VERY IMPORTANT: When asked if you'd like to add Gift Aid to your donation you MUST answer NO. Gift Aid cannot be claimed on this prize draw. Before clicking the final 'DONATE NOW' button you MUST 'edit' Gift Aid to ensure it is NOT to be claimed.

VERY VERY IMPORTANT: You can remain anonymous on the page. However, on the very final THANK YOU page you MUST click “I am happy to be contacted by Steve Brown - RUSHfest Scotland”. If you do not do this, you cannot be entered into the draw as we will not know how to contact you should you be the winner. Better still, please send your email address to steve@broon.net after you've donated.

Any questions can be made to steve@broon.net

Good luck and thank you for supporting Brain Tumour Research.

Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer… yet just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease. This is unacceptable!

I am fundraising for Brain Tumour Research as they are the only national charity dedicated to funding long-term, sustainable research in the UK. Please help me fund the fight. Together we will find a cure.
